About

Towards Investment & FinTech

What I write about?

Thanks for visiting. I’m fascinated by macroeconomic trends, the investment world, and FinTech. My blog is where I share insights on these topics. Since I am interested in understanding the change in technology and human (in)action - including myself - too, I’ll most probably also blog on topics like the advantages of journaling.

Who am I?

I'm Zeynep Alraqeb, navigating the vibrant streets of New York City as an MBA candidate at Columbia Business School.

My background is in economics, with experiences ranging from working at the Deutsche Bundesbank on data and economic analysis to tackling macroeconomic topics at the Banque de France, focusing on emerging markets like the MENA region. I am a MSc. Economics graduate of the University of Warwick and earned my BSc. in Economics from the University of Cologne. During my studies I was a Friedrich-Ebert scholar. I also studied abroad in Turkey and in the USA, where I was a Fulbright scholar. Beside my professional work I served as a head of the Zahnräder Network, a social incubator, bringing passionate young professionals from all around Germany together.

Outside the office or school, you might find me crafting a new blog post, lacing up my running shoes for another half-marathon, or diving into the world of digital creation.

My story is one of crossing borders and connecting dots, always with the aim to engage, enlighten, and inspire.
